Who Can Enter
1. To be eligible to participate in this contest, entrants must be Wisconsin residents who are 18 years of age or older and reside in the WMSN viewing area. Picture submitted must be of your child or children five (5) years of age or younger.
2. Employees of Sinclair Broadcast Group, Inc., Sinclair Television Group, Inc., Sinclair Communications, LLC, and any other company which owns, programs or provides other services to television broadcast station WMSN (collectively the “Station”), Nicki’s Diapers (collectively, the “Sponsors”), their affiliated companies, advertising and promotion agencies, any and all local television broadcast and cable stations, local radio and other media companies, and the immediate family members of each are ineligible to win prizes, but eligible to enter. The term “immediate families” includes spouses, grandparents, parents, siblings, children and grandchildren. Only one winner per household.
How to Enter
1. No purchase is necessary to enter. Only one entry per household.
Only one picture per household.
2. To enter, go to www.facebook.com/foxmadison or www.fox47.com and complete the Upickem online entry form by providing your full name, address, city, state, zip, phone number, e-mail address and upload a picture of YOUR child or children five years old or younger in his/her Halloween costume. Picture must be in jpg format and up to 500x500 in size. No mechanically reproduced or completed entries will be accepted. No incomplete entries will be accepted. No mechanically reproduced or completed entries will be accepted
3. By entering, entrant represents and warrants that (i) the picture is of your child/children, (ii) the picture is original, (iii) he/she owns the picture, (iv) the picture has not been altered or enhanced with any software (excluding redeye), and (v) they agree to the Station’s terms and conditions located at http://fox47.com/sections/station/legal/terms.shtml.
4. No lewd, nude, or offensive photographs (as determined by the Station in its sole and absolute discretion) will be accepted. The Station reserves the right in its sole and absolute discretion to disqualify any entry.
5. The contest starts on October 12, 2012 and all entries must be received by November 4, 2012 by 12:00 am CDT. Stations are not responsible for late, lost or misdirected entries, server unavailability, computer or any other electronic malfunction.
6. The contest starts on October 12, 2012 and will end on November 4, 2012 (the “Contest Period”). Entries must be received by Station by 11:59 p.m. EDT on November 4, 2012 during the Contest Period to qualify for the voting period from November 5, 2012 and November 18, 2012. Station is not responsible for lost, late, or misdirected entries, or for printing errors, server unavailability, computer or any other electronic malfunction.
6. Between 5:00 a.m. CDT on November 5, 2012 and 11:59 p.m. CDT on November 18, 2012, viewers will be asked to vote for their favorite picture by submitting their vote through the Madison WI WMSN UPICKEM voting application hosted on fox47.com and facebook.com/foxmadison page. One vote per account holder. Facebook likes are not considered votes. The Station reserves the right to determine in its sole and absolute discretion whether the online votes are valid, and may disqualify any duplicate votes. Entrants are prohibited from obtaining votes by offering prizes or other inducements to members of the public, vote farming, or any other activity that artificially inflates such finalists votes as determined by Station in its sole discretion. Multiple and/or irregular votes or multiple votes from the same user or users, including but not limited to, votes generated by a robotic, programmed, script, macro, other automated means or other source will be considered invalid.
7. On November 19, 2012, the entrant’s picture with the most votes, as determined by the Station, will be deemed the grand prize winner. The entrant’s picture with the second most votes will be deemed the 1st place winner, the entrant picture with the third most votes will be deemed the 2nd place winner. In the event of a tie, one (1) winner will be randomly selected from among the tied entrants.
8. All entries (including pictures) received that are duplicate, mutilated, tampered with, illegible, or from ineligible entrants will be void. All entries (including pictures) become the property of Sinclair Broadcast Group, Inc., and the Station and will not be acknowledged or returned.
The Prize(s)
1. One (1) grand prize winner will receive a $250.00 gift card to Nicki’s Diapers. One (1) first place winner will receive a $100 gift card to Nicki’s Diapers, one (1) second place winner will receive a $50 gift card to Nicki’s Diapers. The prize is subject to the terms and conditions of Nicki’s Diapers.
2. The winner will be notified by phone. The winner must sign and return a release and affidavit of eligibility, which must be received within 10 days of notification, at the time winner claims his/her prize in person at the Station. Winner must show picture identification to claim prize. Station reserves the right to examine additional identification and may choose to accept or deny awarding the prize based on the identification presented.
3. If the winner cannot be notified within three (3) days, or does not timely sign and return the release and affidavit of eligibility, then the prize will be forfeited, and an alternate winner will be randomly selected from among remaining valid entries.
4. There will be no substitutions or cash alternatives for prizes except at the sole discretion of Station. The Station has the right to substitute a prize of similar value. No transfer or assignment of prizes is allowed.
5. The winner is responsible for paying all local, county, state and federal taxes on the prize based on the estimated retail value of the prize as set forth in these rules from the station.
6. Contestants are eligible to win only one prize within any 30 day period, regardless of the number of contests entered.
7. Sinclair Communications, LLC, Sinclair Broadcast Group, Inc. and Sinclair Television Group, Inc. are not liable if the provider of any part of the prize fails to satisfy its obligations to furnish its portion of the prize.
8. Sinclair Communications, LLC, Sinclair Broadcast Group, Inc. and Sinclair Television Group, Inc. are not responsible for any liabilities arising directly or indirectly from the award or use of the prize.
9. In claiming your prize, you acknowledge that Sinclair Communications, LLC, Sinclair Broadcast Group, Inc. and Sinclair Television Group, Inc. have the right to publicize your name, character, likeness, photograph, voice and the fact that you are the winner for promotional purposes without financial remuneration.
Miscellaneous
1. Odds of winning depend on the number of votes received.
2. Complete contest rules are available Monday through Friday during normal business hours at WMSN 7847 Big Sky Drive Madison WI 53719 and on the station website at www.fox47.com.
3. For the name of prize winner, send a separate, self-addressed, stamped envelope to WMSN 7847 Big Sky Drive Madison WI 53719 and on the station website at www.fox47.com December 19, 2012. Due to the nature of the contest, only the first name and last initial will be disclosed.
4. This contest is subject to all applicable laws and regulations and is void where prohibited. Sinclair Broadcast Group, Inc., Sinclair Television Group, Inc., Sinclair Communications, LLC, Nicki’s Diapers accept no responsibility or liability in connection with any injuries, losses or damages of any kind caused by or resulting from the acceptance, possession or use of the prize awarded hereunder.
5. Station cannot be held liable for any lost or stolen entries, prize or contest information.
6. Station reserves the right to make rules and contest changes and change the aforementioned contest dates.
